Shuttlecock Hot Spot CDC Emerger

Posted in Emerger

The shuttlecock Hot Spot CDC emerger imitates an emerging buzzer, as the ascending midge pupa hatches out of the surface film, this is where the midge pupa becomes especially vulnerable to cruising trout!

The fly will float with the body under the surface film whilst the highly buoyant CDC (Cul de canard) wild duck feathers float above the water.

It's one of the most effective emerging midge imitations and works well for stillwater and river trout.
